My roots
Born in Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, my roots run deep in Leefdaal, a picturesque town nestled near the vibrant city of Leuven. Growing up with a younger brother, our household was a hub of athletic energy. Both of our parents instilled in us a love for sports from a young age, each excelling in their own disciplines – my dad in competitive badminton and my mother in rhythmic gymnastics and volleyball.
Sports is everything
Sports isn't just a pastime for us; it's a way of life. Weekends are filled with friendly matches, cycling adventures, and cheering on our favorite teams in basketball, hockey, volleyball, and beyond. The Olympic Games hold a special place in our hearts, as we gather around the TV, captivated by the sheer athleticism and spirit of competition on display. For us, sports isn't just about winning; it's about the camaraderie, the passion, and the shared moments that bring us closer together as a family.
My young career
From a young age, I explored various sports, eager to find where my true passion lay. While I dabbled in everything from basketball to soccer, it was volleyball and cycling that captured my heart early on. Yet, as I grew older, it became clear that my soul was destined for the world of competitive cycling.

At the tender age of 15, I made the resolute decision to fully commit myself to the thrilling world of cycling. Since I was 8 years old, I've proudly worn the colors of the Cycling Team Glabbeek, and it's been a journey filled with exhilaration and dedication. Regardless of the weather conditions or the intensity of training and competition, I give my all every time I'm on the bike. There's something truly captivating about the tactics and strategy involved in cycling competitions, and I find immense joy in every pedal stroke, every climb, and every sprint toward the finish line. Cycling isn't just a sport for me; it's a way of life, a passion that drives me to push my limits and pursue excellence with unwavering determination.
